La Petite Maison's Drink – How to Make It

WHere is a home-style interpretation of a beverage from the seasonal cocktail list. It's a batch pre-mixed that is packed with the flavours of the holiday season, making it ideal for hosting a celebration. Save the extra citrus syrup to use in brunch beverages, sweets, or for more rounds of bikinis.

Bikini Recipe

Serves 10 guests

To make the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar

To make the Drink (yields 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Directions

To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed components inside a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Next, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature fully. Decant into a clean bottle, close it and store in the fridge, where it will keep for around a month.

For the Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into one sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it best through cheesecloth, making it completely strained.

To serve: Measure 85ml of your batch mix to a stirring glass filled with ice, and agitate lightly for a minute until cold. Pour into a cold coupe glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries and finish by giving it a light spray of the essential oil over the top.
