I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
